“VIRGINITY”: AN OLD-SCHOOL…

BEING a virgin has become the thing of the past, pitifully to most school-going children. They say if you don’t stand for something you will fall for something. This is true, immorality has engulfed our generation but also our elders of the land are posh.

We all need to work together to address this issue constructively and comprehensively. Even OUR Bibles outlaw sex before marriage or outside marriage because it is a holy sin.

This is very serious and sensitive issue which elders must come in and help us. Government, churches and others stakeholders need to come up with polices that will protect the future of the young people.

Honestly, I won’t fear to talk about sex, the truth hurts. I would say give me truth rather than love, money or fame. Every individual has his own style, his own way of presenting himself on and off the feed. This is such a thing for me, writing for something which is incorrect.

One Zambian counselor and education consultant noted the signs of early sexuality that needs to learn by young people to control sexuality. She said music lyrics, movies, television drama like Telemundo type of soaps, magazines can all be sexually graphic and depict the delusion that youth’s sex is normal and health.

Surely, someone who is worthy of your love will never put you in a situation where you feel you must sacrifice your dignity, your integrity or your self-worth to be with them.

Which can be the apparently advantages of permissiveness are published, whereas the personal, family and social tragedies that result from such behavior have seldom been portrayed.

Unwanted pregnancies, AIDS, abortions, sexually transmitted infections, broken relationships, broken homes, broken hearts, and many more has so much engulfed our generations.

I say WHY? If you are not infected then you are affected. What have we done? Is it past? Our fore fathers and the like.

It is indeed the fact most school children are having sex that elders which they believe that as long as they use CONDOMS. The mouth which eats does not talk, usually in life if you do something, you began to thing others are doing it too.

It is not right to say that EVERYONE IS DOING IT.
