PASTOR OFF THE PROPHECY…

LUSAKA PASTOR OFF THE PROPHECY…

GONE are the days were magicians could perform in public places but today it’s different. A church that performs miracles, signs and wonders will have the biggest auditorium making it biggest center with over hundreds and thousands of people.

The competition for miracles is now fierce. Television and social media offer gut-wrenching testimonies. Recently, I watched on Top-star a man so called “No-1 prophet general” prophesying about a woman wearing a tone white-pant.

I ask myself, what was the motive behind a pant? The answer still remain unknown. Picture it, all the miracles performed by Jesus Christ had interpretations. Take a look of a man with Leprosy, calming the storm, paralyzed man, man born blind, water turned into wine and 5000 people feed.

Children of God, There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment and the foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men. (1 Corinthians 1:25)

Mahatma Gandhi once said: “I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Because your Christians are so unlike your Christ...” this is so true that many Christians are so unlike Christ.

The Bible encourages that be very careful and do not worship other gods (Deut 13). Indeed, we are so blind such that praying on credulity of miracle seekers, the prophets have turned to the weird. Some ask women to undress if they want demons cast out.

In this case, we need the spirit of a prophet to recognize a Prophet. Our levels are different. We are not on the same level. We might have great cathedrals, huge bells, and all kinds of activities that are good by human standards but human point of view is limited.

The gospel is not something we go to church to hear, it is something we go from church to tell, Vance Harner lamented. Although, people are faced with numerous, social and emotional problems, when they don’t have solutions and don’t know the biblical truth they fall for anything.

What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine that significance of the life we lead. On the other hand there is so much more to life than gaining fame and glory. Being of service to others.

Love covers a multitude of sin, It does not rejoice when it sees a fellow brother make mistakes” Love is a measurement of Christian maturity. Before we condemn, we should always make sure we see ourselves that we are perfect and that we will never make a mistake in our whole life because the world is watching the seeds we are sowing.

You point a finger to condemn someone, always remember that four of your fingers are pointing at you. Be a reason for someone’s encouragement not discouragement. We are called to be life givers, hope givers not the other way round. God Bless You All.
