TWINS CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY ON WOMEN’S DAY…

BIRTHDAYS are a big milestone for twins and other multiples. After all, it is one of the first things they share as they begin their life.

But the Nigeria’s Ogun State born identical twin-sisters always celebrate their birthday when the whole world is at a focal point in undertaking for women's rights and celebrating their achievements.

Nevertheless, Nigeria and Zambia relish on good bilateral relations, not only the football history between the Super Eagles and Chipolopolo Boys with a long and competitive one but even afar building international twins community.

Overall, Walusungu Silweya, also a twin and journalist dash in writing to Nigeria in meeting up with Delta State based identical twin-sisters namely; (Smart Ojiego Mary and Smart Obuego Martha.) well known as Smart Twins.

As it state as an equal world is an enabled world. Hence, through our responsibility for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

The pair were born on 8Th March despite being an International Women’s Day which this day to them does not only mean to blow out candles but goes with every year’s campaign theme like 2020’s ‘Each-for-Equal’.

Indeed, much of what we call twins bonds is more than a crude imitation of it, the Smart Twins are both students perusing same thing-accounting at Ogun State Institute of Technology. Anyway, their sense of greatness lies on each other with different personalities but same face.

One would ask what really consist of this Smart Twins? What makes them decide to do same thing while they have different personalities? Elder twin, Mary had this to say Music, Fashion, Dancing and Presenting are things that brings them together.

“It makes us unique and special. I think it just makes it feel more special really and hopefully when we get older we will feel more and special to us. The bond between us as twins is so strong, it's something we will never be able to truly understand.” She added.

Their favorite quote: “Expect the best, plan for the worse prepare to be surprise.”
