THERE is no denying fact that twins who are into fashion get a tastes of fame-like it or not. Therefore, they are either local celebrities or freak of nature in a traditional way of dressing the same.
As to dress up is to show, most people watch them walk around in public spaces, they stop them also questions them that fulfil their curious appetites. Its amazing how bold people can be when they don’t even know them.
In simple terms, being a twin is more than the fashion twins itself and indeed, million twins across the world can attest to it. Hence, by identical twin sisters have beckoned many with LECK Collections. As Zambian people say, when you run alone, you run fast. When run together, you run far.
LECK Collections is a stockpile and fashion label founded and owned by Jackie and Joan Maunga. The pair also known as ‘The 8thWonder of The World’ has provided an escape route out of fashion and the myth that says ‘Two is better than One’ to many young people.
And one would wonder on the name LECK Collections. Where did it came about? The duo was born from a family of four girls and three boys with only twin set in the family.
Hence, they got the first letters of their names including two other female siblings. Joan with other name Lweendo which means ‘journey’their sisters namely; (EllenandChipo) and Jackie got away with Kanjie,traditionally means ‘smaller’yet her nationality names stand; Jackie Mukabaji Maunga. Henceforth, Lweendo, Ellen, Chipo and Kanjie makes L.E.C.K collections.
Aside that, the 8thwonder of the world are also into writing and have done a numbers of articles on spiritual biosphere, among such advocates an article entitled ‘Wages of sin is Death’.
Elder twin, Jackie is also on record saying; “We believe twins are a blessing to humanity and we’re born for a purpose and that’s to change lives if we allowed our full potential.”
Today, the world finds itself in a precarious position on young people with different issues affecting them. Yet Jackie and Joan have gone the way and have a chance to influence young people not only in fashion but other sectors at large.
