THE Zambia
Basketball Association (ZBA) has moved today’s tournament from National Sports
Development Centre (NASDEC) to Olympic Youths
Development Centre (OYDC)
due to power and water crisis.
ZBA general
secretary Mwemba Kaoma confirmed the development yesterday saying the
tournament will start around 15:00 hours and 18:00 hours, women and men
respectively.
Kaoma said
Zambia Basketball Association (ZBA) National Championship Finals tournament
will also give the technical bench a hint of what to expect for year’s zone six.
Four teams both
men and women will clash for a final, UNZA Pacers up against Matero Magic, UNZA
Honeys against NAPSA blades respectively.
And UNZA pacers
coach Cathbert Tembo has expressed confidence that his team will impress the
fans and will become champions in a tough way.
Tembo urged fans
to turn a large and support the sportsmen and women thanked for the efforts they are putting in to create
cohesion in the team
Meanwhile, his counterpart
coach of Matero magic Obbety Chamboka urged his players to calm themselves
before the game.
Chamboka said
the team needed support and motivational from everyone if they were to ably for
the finals.
