MOMENT OF TRUTH FOR: ‘SEER’

MORE than 2018 years ago at a wedding in Galilee, the guest ran out of wine. Near the venue stood six stone water jars, the kind used back then for ceremonial washing. Each could hold between 75 and 115 liters.
One of the guest told a servant to fill the jars with water and they filled to the brim. This guest, Jesus Christ, turned the water into wine.
Fast forward to Zambia in Copperbelt particular. One pastor turned water into petrol, many were wondering and asking if probably the people around the named pastor ran out of gas for vehicles or whatever reason was.
Because of these kinds of practices, a group of independent churches prayed to set up a commission to look into what is going on. Religious leaders took the matter to plot one to instruct the CEO to form a Ministry of Religious that will gaze issues patterning spiritual affairs under the expense of desperate children of God.
This month, a Facebook post claimed fortuneteller, who is one for theatrics claimed to have powers and has huge followers but his hiding in another motherland. Some said this is a proof of his godlike abilities, others that his a false diviner.
The Bible encourages that be very careful and do not worship other gods (Deut 13). Indeed, we are so blind such that praying on credulity of miracle seekers, the prophets have turned to the weird.
Well, I would not dare stomp Christians and their beliefs because Zambia is a Christian nation. Children of God, There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment and the foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men. (1 Corinthians 1:25)
Mahatma Gandhi said: “I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Because your Christians are so unlike your Christ...” this is so true that many Christians are so unlike Christ.
The gospel is not something we go to church to hear, it is something we go from church to tell. Although, people are faced with numerous, social and emotional problems, when they don’t have solutions and don’t know the biblical truth they fall for anything.
You point a finger to condemn someone, always remember that four fingers are pointing at you. Be a reason for someone’s encouragement not discouragement. We are called to be life givers. God Bless You All.
