There is every need for ordinary students to begin seeing the benefits of their vote. The livelihood of those that cast their administering their resources and students affairs need to be improved or even changed for that is the sole reasons for their going into leadership. Therefore, Hone students will be voting for their students union representatives i.e. EHCOSU on October 16 th ,I would like to state from onset that my convection is that HONE is where it is and not where it is supposed to be now. I have been there for FOURS years and I know how they seriatim affairs of students in terms of democracy, economic and socioeconomic development. UNZA Honeys too good for Breeze By WALUSUNGU SILWEYA UNZA Honeys vs NAPSA Breeza UNZA Honeys on Wednesday won the National Basketball championship title after beating NAPSA Breeze 3-2 at National Sports and Development Centre in Lusaka. Honeys won three sets while Breeze claimed one victory and the other ended in a draw. In the first set, Breeze edged Honeys 79-59 but the later bounced back to snatch the second set 70-53 and posted 59-55 in the third set but lost the fourth 53-49 to Breeze. However, Honeys won the decisive fifth set 58-54 to seal the title. Honeys coach Cuthbert Tembo said the game was tough. “Breeze is a strong team; they made the girls play on high temple forcing us to change our strategy at half time by slowing the game down so they can play on our tempo. I think that is what helped us win the game,” he said. And Zambia Basketball Association (ZBA) general secretary Mwembe Kaoma apologised for lack of sponsorship for the event.

Mkandawire managed only eight votes while Chimuka of T$T gymnasium had 17 to become the new ZBBFF boss. The other seven executive committee members who include vice president Brown Ng’ambi went through unopposed as there were no people to challenge them. The new general secretary is Cornelius Chanda who went through unopposed after incumbent Lee Mukupa refused to re-contest his position. Mukupa, who is Muchinga Ward 24 councilor, said he opted not to re - contest because he wants to concentrate on politics. CHIPOLOPOLO coach Honour Janza has urged striker Mwape Musonda to be a goal-taker after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with South African side giant Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.
